Check both ends, every shift
Front bucket, teeth, cutting edge and lift-arm pins - then rear boom, dipper, bucket pins and swing. Skipping the rear because "we are loading today" is how cracks grow unseen.
Treat stabilizers as the rollover point
Pads, pin play and lock function are not comfort items. A drifting or sinking stabilizer under a loaded swing is the failure mode that rolls machines and hurts people.
